I have a very weird scenario. I mixed up my sections 2 and 3 on the sat today. Section 2 was math with grid. Section 3 was a 23 question CR section.
What happened was I properly bubbles in for section 2. I bubbled 1-8 and grid in for 9-18.
Then, when we started the reading section, I bubbled 1-10 for section 3 but then when I went to bubble in 11-23 for my reading and I somehow moved UP to section 2 and bubbled 11-23 for that.
So 11-23 for my CR section is blank and section 2 (math) has 11-23 bubbled in when it shouldn’t. My test supervisor filed a testing irregularity explaining what happened.
Do you think collegeboard will fix it? Just shift those answers down to section 3 where they should. If not, how can I get that fixed? I’m so scared, I jeopardized my score with such a dumb error
Ugh noo… I don’t see why they wouldn’t since all they have to do is shift the answers from section 2 down to 3?? Can I just go ahead and request a multiple score verification? One of the errors accepted by the verification is if you gridded in the wrong section. Like it actually says that on their website. Would they change it if I paid the 55$?
“If we can determine that you made an obvious error in filling in the information on the answer sheet (such as, but not limited to, placing your answers in the wrong section of the answer sheet or improperly recording the test identifying code), your score may change.”
I am guessing that hand scoring will delay the reporting of your scores, so if you are a HS Sr, you should register for the November exam now, just to be cautious. You have six days before the late fee is assessed for Nov registration.
I hope it is not too late to revive my thread?! I just wanted to update on my predicament: So I did not receive my scores today. It is 8pm EST and my scores still say “not yet available”. I just got off the phone with a customer support officer who looked into why my scores are delayed… she said she wasn’t able to gather much more information other than my answer sheet will be going through their “extensive scoring process” apparently. She said a department that deals with the scoring process will contact me in five-seven business days with more information.
From this I’ve gathered that they did indeed receive my proctor’s irregularity report and hopefully, hopefully will be fixing my scores. I just hope it is not a lengthy process because I applied early action to a couple of colleges and they need my scores soon. I will continue to update this thread : ) Wish me luck y’all
@misophoniax Not yet. if I don’t have an email from Collegeboard by Thursday, which will have been 5-7 business days like they said, then I will just call again to press for more info about my scores.
@basedchem That is what I did. I alerted my proctor as soon as I noticed and she called the testing supervisor up during the test (because she clearly did not know what to do) and the testing superviser filed an irregularity report for criteria 7B.
Hey, did you ever get your scores? It’s been almost 2 weeks for me, and I still haven’t gotten mine. I’ve talked to three CB representatives and they’ve all said 5-7 business days each week I call, which is pretty disappointing.
@misophoniax I was told to wait 5-7 business days as well and I called back on Tuesday (the 8th business) to press for more information on the status of my scores. She said my case was sent to the “escalation department” when I initially called and now it’s been furthered to the “scoring department” and she says she anticipates my scores will be out Friday (tomorrow) so now I am just waiting to see if they really do come out tomorrow. I will see I guess : )
