Nope. Did not get mine. I called CB and they told me that my scores reached the escalation department on Wednesday and that it had only been two business days. So, I guess I’ll receive my scores at the earliest Wednesday. I wish I didn’t make that stupid mistake. I could’ve gotten my scores three weeks ago.
Update: I gave collegeboard another seven business days before calling back again today. The lady asked when the deadline is for colleges to have my score. I said by the end of next week. So she put my case on “higher priority” to get it done faster. I will give them one final week before I become more repetitive in my calls and emails. I understand that it’s my fault that I messed up on my scoring sheet but this wait has been so long and I have been very patient thus far.
Update: I received an email and phone call (that I missed during school) from a Collegeboard customer service associate. She informed me that my score will be delayed another 2-3 weeks because it is being reviewed manually. : ( That means I will miss Early Action deadlines for standardized test scores. On top of that I did not receive my ACT scores November 10th, which I was counting on to replace this delayed SAT.
Please learn from my mistake, you guys. My one little error has caused me to have to wait two months for my score and has jeopardized my chances of admission. I regret it so much.
This is insane. Seriously I only mixed up two sections, and now I have to practically wait another month for my score. On the other hand, I’ve already signed up to take the December SAT, and you can bet on the fact that I’ll be extra careful this time around. I’m only a junior, so this doesn’t affect me in the way it’s affecting @writerzt71. But, it is frustratiing nonetheless being that I’m trying to get the score I want before the New SAT is launched in January
^I thought the new SAT was to start in March.
Yes, the new SAT will be administered in March. The late January administration will be of the current exam format.
Yes. Sorry for the mistake. What I intended to say was that I want the get the score I want before the March administration, but the last current SAT administered is in January.
Let us know what your score ends up being.
I finally got my scores. I ended up with a 2100 on the dot. Will be taking the December one.
@misophoniax Hey that’s awesome! I hope my score turns out to be as good as yours.
Aw. Thanks! You must be getting yours soon, since I got mine yesterday.
Update: I still have not received my score. I know I sound like a broken record but I have been very patient with Collegeboard and they have continued to put me off. It has been two months now. I have checked my SAT account countless times to see if my score has been posted or not and have been let down every single time.
The reason I am so anxious now is become admissions decisions for the college I applied to comes out in thirteen days on December 15th. I doubt they have been able to evaluate my application because they do not have my SAT score. They received my November 7th Subject Test scores, but not my generic SAT score from October 3rd. I fear I will be rejected because of this.
I just don’t understand. Yes, it is my fault, I screwed up on my answer sheet, but I cannot comprehend why it would take 8+ weeks to fix the mistake. Honestly I just want A SCORE to send in–I don’t think there will be a big difference between my corrected score and the score I would have if my answer sheet wasn’t being corrected. I don’t like having my chances of admission jeopardized because of this.
I took the October 24th ACT and have not received my score back from them and I know there is no point in calling them because they give themselves up to eight weeks which I think is not necessary. I took the ACT hoping it would be my backup in case my SAT never came but what am I supposed to do if I have neither?
I feel completely powerless against these testing companies. The customer service support staff is ill-informed and dishes out vague, unhelpful information. I was informed to call a manager at SAT who has been assigned my “case” but she did not respond to my email nor my phone call. I did that three weeks ago and have been patient until today.
I called her again a few hours ago. She did not answer so I left a voicemail detailing my entire situation. I say “entire situation” because previously I had just been asking about my score but in this call I actually (and I know it was unprofessional) explained how I had applied to this college and I was pressed for time to get my score in with the hopes that she would respond more quickly with legit information.
I will update again when she responds. Sorry for venting y’all but I had to.
I feel so sorry for you As much as we screwed up, waiting this long for a score is very frustrating.
@misophoniax thank you : ) I feel better now that finally I got my ACT score from October 24th but I think unfortunately it is too late. At least I received something though
I’m sorry! Have you contacted adcoms?
@writerzt71 Yeah, you should definitely contact admissions if you haven’t already and explain everything to them. While standardized test scores are obviously required, I’m sure they’ll be able to give you some leeway since this isn’t your fault.
@writerzt71: No one could possibly blame you for the frustration you are feeling. Hang in there.
I have been following this thread… and omg! what a terrible story! I hope the adcoms will see this too and wait to make any rash decisions about you. just from reading your posts I can see how you have been diligent and kept going back to check and recheck to make sure! I know plenty of kids would never call cb or write them incessantly to get their scores rushed. this already says something about who you are!
I kind of made the same mistake as him. In today’s SAT II I planned to take only Math II. (a lot went bad originally like forgetting my calculator, boring someone else’s, to see after beginning the test that the batteries didnt work, and rearranging the batteries to miraculously get the calculator to work)
But after taking the test I realized that I filled in my answers in the Test 3 answer sheet instead of Test 1 :((
The proctor told me he noticed in the final minute and told me not to worry about it when I kept begging to correct it in the 5 minute intermission. He said that in the SAT directions they said that if a student fills in the wrong answer sheet in midday through the test he or she should just keep going.
So am I in the clear? I feel sick to my stomach that I made such a dumb mistake (after so many in the beginning lol). Comments?
@jefchuk i don’t want to get your hopes up falsely but I really don’t say how it would matter where you marked your answers for the test, whether it was in test one, two, or three I imagine it would get scanned accurately regardless of where you bubbled.
I don’t think you made a blunder as terrible as I did definitely lol
