Alright I would really love your input on my decision. I thought Denison was the school for me but now I'm having doubts. I'm an outgoing guy who loves to have fun and party.

Denison
+ Small class sizes/get to know profs
+ Gorgeous campus
+ More challenging academically than IU
+ Decent communications program
- Social scene not as strong as IU
- Not a lot of gay guys
- Could get boring easily since there are no cities close (besides Columbus)

Indiana
+ Strong journalism program
+ Lots of opportunities
+ Plenty of gay guys
- Afraid I'd be lost in the crowd
- Big class size
- Huge campus

The schools will cost me almost the exact same. I plan on majoring in journalism/communications and then going on to law school. As far as law school goes, is one school better for placement over the other? Thanks!

Congrats, both are good schools. I have not been to Denison, but I have been to IU. IU seems like it would have a more accepting environment. Also, IU has a nice college town atmosphere with numerous resturants, clubs, shops, etc. Their journalism major is top notch. Best of luck with your decision.

"- Could get boring easily since there are no cities close (besides Columbus)"

I don't know how this is true. Columbus has more going for it than Bloomington (pro soccer and hockey). Cincinnati is 30 mins farther away than Indianapolis is from Bloomington. Cleveland is about the same drive from Columbus as Louisville is from Bloomington.

DD1 attends Denison and, while there may not be a large number of gay guys, the school is very accepting and has clubs for support (and lots of activities to keep you busy).
