I've always been motivated and tried to do amazing in school. I WAS doing really great before I got to high school, which really sucks because high school is the one that matters.
In 9th grade I took:
Honors Biology (B first semester, A- second semester)
Honors World History (B+,B)
Honors English I (B,B)
PE (A-,A)
Lunch
Orchestra (A,A)
Spanish (A-,A)
Algebra (B,A-)
Geometry (B,B)

GPA: 3.875

In 10th grade I am taking:
Honors Chemistry (C+, still in the 2nd semester, but I have a 77.41%)
AP European History (B, 84.37%)
Honors English II (B, 88.81%)
PE (A, 100%)
Lunch
Chorus/Orchestra (A, 100%)
Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry (B, 73.04%)

GPA: 3.7143

TOTAL GPA FOR BOTH YEARS: 3.8261
(Remember, all those GPA's are weighted.)

As you can see, my grades SUCK. I'm desperate for help. I really want to succeed. I want to get into either Northwestern or Brown as a Biology major, and that's really not looking too great for me. I will do anything. The thing is, is that I have test anxiety, so I understand all the concepts but I do really poorly on tests. I can't do anything anymore. I'm giving up on trying to succeed. My grades are going lower and lower and I just do this anymore. I wanted to get an A in every single class this semester but...no.
Do you think I still have a chance at getting an A this semester in 5/7 classes at least?
What do you think I can do to improve?
Any studying tips?

PLEASE JUST ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. I'm so tired of being a failure.

Don’t be ashamed of your grades; those are great grades in challenging classes. I too have test anxiety, but once I got a few bad grades, that went away. It seems as if my body, much later than my brain, had finally realized that worrying would do nothing for me. I guess you could say that I simply didn’t care anymore; what happened, happened. Don’t give up. Even with your grades, you sound like you still have the potential to do great things and go to great places. I think you have a chance to get all A’s, if you allow yourself to be human and not a robot. Sometimes our actual grades will differ from our expectations, and we need to learn that that is okay. Don’t worry.

What I can suggest is that if you find yourself struggling even a little bit on a topic, to get help immediately. It doesn’t do well to say, “Well, the test isn’t soon. I’ll get help later.” No - get help immediately so this stumbling block doesn’t hold you back from absorbing the future material. That was probably the biggest problem I struggled with when I was having a difficult time in a class: I would put off getting help, because I was either too embarrassed to ask, or I felt that I’d eventually get it later. Sometimes I did get it later, and sometimes I didn’t. Don’t take that chance! Get help!

As for studying tips, I can only suggest from my own experience that the way I study is to review the older material a little bit everyday during the week. It helps me keep on top of older stuff, and make sure that I understand the newer stuff too. If you find yourself sitting idly in class, use that time towards either doing homework or studying for upcoming tests/quizzes.

Your grades don’t suck. Chemistry in my opinion is the hardest of your classes. Screaming pumpkin gave great advice. Form study groups. Ask questions the minute you don’t understand or the problems compound. You could get a tutor for chem and math. No shame in that. Lots of people do.

In addition to the advice above, when you get to college-searching, pick safeties and matches as well as reaches (Ivies are reaches for almost everyone).

Yeah honestly not bad don’t be too hard on your self colleges want to see you challenge yourself :)>- than just taking the easy way out so don’t worry
