I do realize my GPA reflects poorly upon my transcript, however my standardized test's turned out great. I am interested in what schools you suggest me to apply to (reach, safety, and match) So far I am interested in Boston University, Boston College(Major Reach I know), and Umiami Please give me your feedback and suggestions as to what schools I should be looking at whether it be reaches, safeties, or matches...thanks!

bump.......

I agree that the D's during your freshman year aren't too impressive, but honestly I don't think you have anything to worry about based on your very impressive upwards trend, SAT scores, and ECs. Ratings on a scale of: unlikely reach, reach, semi-reach, good fit, likely, safety.

Boston University... LIKELY.
Boston College... SEMI-REACH.
University of Miami... SAFETY.

How about looking at New York University, University of Florida, Fordham University, George Washington University, American University, Northeastern University, Tufts University, and Syracuse University? I tried to pick schools around the same size as the three you listed but if you're interested in different schools (particularly small to medium size LACs in the Northeast... that's what I primarily looked at in my own searches) feel free to PM me.

thanks a lot littleathiest!, I am very thankful for you input. What would be your opinions on better schools like Cornell, Duke, and JHU?

JHU and Cornell are possibilities... but I'd definitely say they're reaches (Cornell would be slightly more difficult to get into than JHU). Duke on the other hand... you'd need to get pretty lucky; its a reach for everyone and pretty much a crapshoot from what I've seen.

hey man i actually calculated your gpa for you
your gpa is a 3.57 [thats an average of about a b/b+]
not bad, you have good sat scores so that should help you
