PLEASE READ...need help

<p>Okay...here are my stats</p>

Roman Catholic
New York state resident</p>

<p>9th Grade
Honors English: A
Earth Science: A
Math A (NYS Regents course...it's basically Algebra): B :-(
Spanish - A
Honors Global I - B+/A-</p>

<p>Overall GPA: 3.66 weighed slightly for the honors courses (our school doesn't give us our unweighted GPAs)</p>

<p>10th Grade
Honors Global II - A
Spanish - A
Biology - A
Math B (geometry) - B :-(
Honors English - A</p>

<p>Overall GPA: 3.8, again weighed slightly but probably not even by a full point</p>

<p>11th Grade (projected)
Chemistry - A
Precalculus - B

AP American History - A
AP Psychology - A

<p>Overall Projected GPA: 3.9-4 weighed for the APs</p>

<p>SAT scores...I've taken it once, plan on taking it 2 more times or more if necessary</p>

<p>Math - 600 (am capable of 650...but probably not much more than that, math is definitely my weakness)
Verbal - 700 (can and will raise that)
Writing - 680 (I know colleges don't really look at this, but I would like to raise it as well)</p>

<p>Class Rank: by percentile, top 8-9% at a very competitive public school</p>

Nominated for Women of Distinction Award...have yet to hear (one of only 2 nominees from my school, about 35 from the greater Rochester area)
Some stupid local award for my town...

<p>So, where do I stand? I'm thinking about these schools</p>

<p>University of Notre Dame (reach, but my dad was an alumnus)
Bucknell University (I'm thinking another reach?)
Northeastern University
Villanova University
University of Richmond
University of Delaware
College of the Holy Cross
SUNY Geneseo
Ithaca College
Mount Holyoke College
University of Rochester

<p>Those are the main ones...get back to me please, and be as honest as you need to. I can take it.</p>

<p>i'm a junior, but i'll try to help as much as possible
most of your schools look like solid bets, some might be a little harder to swing</p>

<p>try to raise your GPA a bit and of course SAT scores too</p>

<p>Your schools look good, I'm guessing you have a good chance at each. Try to get those SAT scores up, you're GPA is pretty phenomenal =].</p>

<p>You will be accepted at a number of schools on your list. UDel might be a little tough on out of staters, but you should still make it with that GPA. Is Geneseo the only SUNY of interest to you? Would it make sense to apply to at least one more state school?</p>

<p>realistic list. my stats are a bit lower, but i got accepted to mhc...so it's a sure thing you'll get in to mount holyoke...perhaps even a scholarship?</p>

<p>maintain your performance and perhaps you'll get into all of those schools. don't know about notre dame, but it's a shot.</p>
