I’m currently going into my junior year and I’m unsure of which classes to take. I have narrowed them down into 3 choices, AP computer science, AICE Business 2(Second Year of Business), and Spanish 3 H. I have an interest in both computers and business, and may want to major in them someday. On the other hand I heard it’s very beneficial to do 3 years of Spanish or a foreign language, so I’m not sure which one to do. I did however take a gap year away from Spanish, after completing Spanish 2 my freshman year so it may be a bit difficult for me to pick up, but I’ve been using duolingo to potentially catch up!! I also would have my teacher from last year from another class to teach me in Spanish, so it may be easier since he’s very nice an chill. Please help I’m not sure which ones to take, and which one would look better on a college application, plzzz
Yes Spanish 3 would be expected from most selective colleges and Spanish 3H is a core class, v. Electives.
However, if you want to major in CS, taking AP CS senior year and, in the meanwhile, using hourofcode to learn Java and/or Python this year, would be a must.
You don’t need to have taken any business class in high school to study business in college.
Is AP Computer Science something easy to learn, and by taking business 2, I could gain more credits in college so I just don’t know which one I’m more interested in
Most colleges wouldn’t give you college credit for AICE Business (some in Florida may but that’s it.)
Take Spanish 3H this year and choose CS vs. Business senior year. Or see if you can take both, with one online through FLVS.
