Please help me!

Okay, so I am planning on applying early to a huge reach school, but i'm not sure where i should apply early. my grades are mediocre...
i'm rank 52 out of 500.
my weighted total gpa is 3.75, non weighted 3.50.
i'm trying really hard to redo a class that i previously had a D in, so hopefully my gpa goes up.
my SAT is 1730.
i haave a LOT of extra curricula's and a lot of volunteer hours.

i really really would like to apply to princeton or cornell early, and i know you will probably laugh at me, but i just want to know if you think i have ANY chance there for early admission... i honestly think that getting grades the way we get does not reflect our intelligence. i changed schools recently, and (this sounds very cocky, but) i'm pretty sure i'm smarter than their ranks 10 and on. i used to go to a really competitive and difficult school and didn't get stellar grades back then, but once i've moved, i've gotten all A's so i really think that judging based on grades is not that fair, but that's how colleges choose to do it... :/ do you think i should write something about that in my essays? pleaseeee help me! and if you think i have NO chance of getting into those schools, do you know where i should apply early? i want it to be a reach school though.. (like an ivy league preferably). anyways, thank youu!

Don’t waste your ED on a school that is unrealistic. Applying ED will on increase you chances if you are qualified for the school in question (or slightly under-qualified). Your SATs and GPA are way too low for ivies. In terms of test you couldn’t even apply to an ivy since you haven’t taken subject tests (ivies require 2-3, most other top tier schools are the same way).

Honestly applying at a school that usually excepts a 3.5 is going to be a slight reach if your transcript has a D on. Use your ED for a school you would be happy at (since is binding) and is semi-realistic. A good choice would be a school where the averages are 3.5 and an 1800-1850.

Last no I don’t think writing something about grade inflation in your essay is a good idea. Your rank is what it is, they will see your change in grades on your transcript so it is implied.
