PLEASE HELP: midyear report

I have a problem with my midyear report, unfortunately. My counselor sent it a few weeks ago and I just found out that my grade in my PreCalc class then was a 77%. I didn't do well on one of my exams and it brought my grade down from a B to a C+. That wasn't my final grade and didn't have an impact on my GPA, it was just my current grade at that time.

My top choice school is NYU and I wanted some advice on how that would impact their decision. I've since raised my grade to an 82% but I don't know if I should have my counselor resend the grades (I asked him and he said he probably wouldn't do that).

I'm really worried and am losing sleep over this. Please help?

Also, all of the other grades on my midyear were As, my unweighted GPA is a 3.7 and my weighted GPA is a 4.3.

Just send an email explaining that your midyear report provided only a snapshot of a non-final grade at one time, and you have since raised it.

Thank you. I hope that will be enough. Is there anything else I should mention or add?

Not unless you have anything else to update them on (further accomplishments or the like).

Briefly expressing your continued interest in the school can’t hurt, either.

You should probably do this as soon as possible, given approaching dates.
