I have no preference if locations are out of state/no real preferences.

Please select some Reaches/Matches/Safeties for me.

Could you tell us more about what you're looking for in a college. All I know is that you're a pretty good student, want to major in something related to business, and don't care about location. Um...is that it? It's kind of hard to suggest schools, because I can't tell whether you'd like them. How about your local state university?

What is the financial picture for you? Are your parents able to pay for a private education, no holds barred? Are you expecting financial aid? Have you run your family financial numbers through some calculators to see if you are in the running for aid?

My family is low-income; I'm not sure exactly how much they make but I will probably get financial aid and probably pay off college with student loans.

My preferred business major is accounting but nothing is permanent.

I plan to apply to Rutgers-New Brunswick, which I consider a "Match".
I just need to get a decent list and sort out a few other colleges and make a final 4-8 colleges that I will apply to.

Sorry for the vague information, if anymore information is needed please ask I will gladly provide it.

Bump before i sleep.

Why not google 'best accounting schools in the U.S.' and then go to the websites of those colleges and see the admission stats. You will then know which ones you have the stats to be accepted at.

this will take some work, but if you don't get pointed in the right direction here (and I know I can't, I'm math challenged!) then I would pursue this course of action.

Frankly, for accounting you could go to any school with an accounting program. Perhaps you want to look at AACSB accredited schools. The AACSB has a website which lists accredited schools. Your concern should be how much of your financial need a school will meet without gapping you (leaving you unmet financial need). Start with your instate public colleges and make sure that they have accounting as a major. You might need to meet a certain gpa before you are admitted into their business school. At other schools you could be accepted as a freshman. I think that as a low income family you are better off looking at private colleges that will meet financial need, rather than out of state schools (ie: Univ. of Indiana might be a poor choice for you. Sure, the Kelley School of Business if very good, but even with a merit scholarship, your financial need will most likely not be met because you are an out of state student there). To look at average % of financial need met, with a disclosure of average need met through loans and/or self help vs. grants, US News has a good site, but it does cost $15 or so, for the year. I think that the subscription might end in August, so you might want to check this aspect out before paying, but I am not certain about that.
