So I took the SAT IIs this past weekend in Lit and Math II.

Math II- Pretty sure I got the first 35 right, then I ran out of time.

Lit- Have no clue how many of the first 38 I got right, and ran out of time.

I was going to take Physics but I took practice tests and got a 490. Which is sad since I was one of the best physics students at my school.

So, I currently have a barrons book for both literature and math II. The math II tests were super hard for me. Also, I saw nothing about parametric functions or matrices on the tests. On the test, I had the most problem with some of the trig stuff at the end.

What is your guys advice for doing better on these tests for my situation?

I'm looking to get a 700+, I only need Math II and one other.

“I was one of the best physics students at my school.”
are you sure? I’ve heard that physics test is really easy if you do good at math. you can miss 8-9 and still get a chance for 800. Trig is easy. It’s nothing but memorization. For math, one should study AND understand the graphs, polynomials, probabilities, log, and inverses, which basically most of the stuffs in the first semester of alg2. It isn’t that hard if you study for it. One thing though, make sure you understand why things happen the way it is. That’s what i think about math. The more you understand about the nature of a problem, the more time you’ll save.

Yes, i’m sure. I don’t however attend the best school, so there are a lot of gaps in what i learned when compared to what is tested.

A lot of the material on the math test was stuff i sadly had to learn in the past two weeks, even though I’m in Calc BC, because our school doesn’t teach a lot of the material on the test… our precalc class was like a repeat of algebra II.

As for physics… that class was a joke. For what we did do, I was one of the best in the class.

every precal honor classes are repetitions of alg 2 trig except for derivatives, vectors, and polar grraphing. I wish i can skip it :(. But anyways, it isn’t that hard when you get the hang of it, which requires practice and a bit of thinking. As for physics, i believe you should give it a try. I mean…it wouldn’t hurt if you give it a chance right? There shouldn’t be that much formula to study. A lot easier in term of memorizing like Chem or bio. Also give you less headache then lit if you are good at math, or at least know some derivatives, integrals, differential equations and vectors
