Hello

I am having a lot trouble on focusing on schoolwork (such as reading plays, chemistry chapters, etc.). Although I can go through most of my classes without reading, some like AP chem ,AP US, and English really do need reading. When I read , I go to a quiet location, but it still doesn't help. I either sit and daydream or I just stare stare and stare. I have a lot of time to do homeowrk but I always find myself doing things at the last minute (like on the school bus and stuff). But sometimes I find myself having intense focus and I really enjoy it. I absorb things during those times, and want to know how I can get those phases of intense focus at will. Please reply because I think this is my key to a better school life. My parents keep thinking I am lazy, but I am not. I am easily distracted when doing boring things (especially by things I like), but before you say distraction from boring things is normal, let me say something. Normal people seem to accept that the job, however boring, must be done, so they do it. I try to put put it off more than normal people and up doing a bad job most of the time. Please reply with advice. I really want to learn and excel and get jobs done like my classmates. I will be very grateful. Also, music doesn't seem to help me with attention (this was a tip suggested previously to me here on CC).
