I have taken the SAT one time and received a score I am not happy with at all. I am retaking it in october but I am trying to send in most of my online applications before then. When the application asks for previous test scores, do I have to enter the first test? Or can I wait and just send in my new score (hopefully it will be a lot better) I just don’t want to be deferred or rejected because of my first score because I plan to bring it up. Thanks!
Same problem here. I think I can, and if I can, then I will put that I am taking the October test and then I will send all of my scores (including my previous scores) with the results from that one. I’m pretty sure most schools want you to submit scores from ALL OF THE TIMES you have taken the test(s) , and failing to do so wouldn’t be wise.
Check with the colleges you plan to apply to.
The selective private colleges my children have looked at tend to “superscore”. They take the best from each sitting. For instance my daughter has a 760/740/710 and a 730/660/770. The admission departments where she is applying will make it a 760/740/770.
