Please Help Those on the Wait Lists

Congratulations to all who received college acceptances and have happily chosen where they will attend next fall!

Now please help the many students who are in limbo because they were wait listed. Just as soon as you have made your decision and put down your deposit, please notify your other schools right away that you will not be attending. There's no reason to wait.

Free up that space and perhaps let a fellow CCer have a chance at getting into their dream school!

I agree! Many people out there are dying to get into a school but was waitlisted. Please be considerate and prompt. :)

I've been waitlisted as well...please do help

This is so important. I've been fortunate enough to not be waitlisted at any of my schools thus far, but I just sent in my "no, but thanks" to two schools today. Other people would love to go to those schools, and I would feel horrible if I stood in the way.

yes! people like me have been waitlisted at a couple colleges it is quite nervewracking to be waitlisted several times... people like me have been waitlisted at a college that was high up on their list..
HELP A FELLOW CCER OUT. PLEASE AND THANK YOUUUUUU! :O

Most schools won't look at their waitlist until after May 1. I think it's very likely that more schools will go to their waitlists this year because of elimination of Princeton and Harvard ED/EA programs. The students that would have normally been accepted to those schools would apply to next tier schools for backups(each of those students would very likely applied to 10 schools). There is a possibility that yield rate may go down for schools below HYPS. If that happens then it will have a domino effect on all other schools. Sorry to say this, but third or fourth tier schools may not be done with their waitlist until well into the summer. This is just my opinion.
