Please help! urgent question about Cal Grant

Hi guys, I have a question about how to submit cal grant. I’m planning to transfer to one of the UCs at Fall 2017. I just finished submitting my FAFSA and am in the process of filling out Cal grant’s GPA verification form.

I’ve transferred to different community colleges during the past few years and I only have about 9 units completed for my current community college. I read my school’s Cal grant police and it says that once 16 units have been completed the school will automatically submit the GPA.

My question is, since I won’t have 16 units before the March 2 deadline for Cal Grant what should I do? I have majority of my credits from the previous two community colleges I attended. Should I ask them to submit my GPA verification instead?

Please help! THANK YOU!

Don’t assume your previous schools will submit your verification form.

You need to go to the registrar’s office at one of your previous colleges, that was most recently attended to and ask them to submit, or you may have to check to see if your current school has your old records, because then they would verify your combined GPA for the form: http://www.csac.ca.gov/pubs/forms/grnt_frm/gpaform.pdf

All of the information is on the Cal Grant forms.

Mail the form before March 2nd.

Thank you for your timely reply!

I did transfer all my transcripts to the CC that I’m currently attending. I will check with them to see if they can submit my combined GPA.
