Please Help! Very Urgent!

I'm supposed to highlight my family's income on the 1040 tax return to qualify for a waiver.

Does AP testing take into consideration the "adjusted gross income" or "taxable income" as the income? Because if it is adjusted, I don't qualify for a waiver, but if it is taxable, I do qualify. The only information I could find was that it was the income "after taxes."

Also, if I do get a fee waiver, who ends up paying the rest of it? I am self-studying all 3 of my APs, and I am NOT taking it at my home school. I am taking it at another school because my school doesn't administer the three tests. Do the schools pay for them? If so, which one: the one I'm taking it at or the one I attend?

I checked past posts, but didn't find the answers to these questions.

I live in CA, if that helps.

Thanks.

The application form should tell you which line of the 1040 should be used for calculating annual income.

The balance of the fee ($53) is your responsibility, especially if you are taking exams for courses you didn't take.
