Please help! What do I do with my schedule in this situation?

I am currently in SAS (sophomore year now) and I'm trying to transfer to the School of Communications to start a degree in Information Technology.

Before I can transfer, I need to take at least 2 more prerequisite classes, one of which I'm signed up for, but the other is closed.

Besides going to my professor and begging for a SP#, which I'll be doing as soon as classes start, what do I do with the rest of my schedule for this semester? Because I'm not eligible for the SoC yet, I can't take any other classes related to my major. What do I fill the remaining 6-9 credits with? Random classes that won't count towards anything? Are there any gen-ed courses that count towards an IT degree/general Communication degree?

Chances are slim that there will be gen ed classes that count. Perhaps you can find classes in a subject of interest and work towards a minor.

While it’s not directly related, it may be worth taking Intro to Computer Science (CS111), which is a 4 credit course. It’s a lot of programming, but at least it’s a computer related course.
