Please help with essay topics

After weeks of thinking, I’ve narrowed my essay topic to 3. But I cannot choose one over another.

  1. My passion for block-based programming. (I can speak a lot about it, but I don’t think it would reflect on my personality that deep? )
  2. My objection against the Indian education system, how it affected me, my friends, etc (this is very personal, but I might sound over righteous).
  3. My experience of studying in a government/public school, how others saw me, what I learned from the experience. (This is also very personal, but is it important enough?)

I can write about the above 3 topics very deeply, but which one is better suited for an international student who is looking to major in CS?

Please help.

Any topic is fine if the school can see your personality and strengths shining through. You want an admission officer to read your essay and think that you are the perfect fit for their school and that you would contribute to campus life.

I think topic 2 or 3 as they are much more personal and speaks about you as a person more and reflects your background, and in my opinion will work better. A lot of students applying as CS are probably going to talk about their passion for programming, so it will be really hard to stand out with that topic.
