Please Help With Ideas For FSU Visit

Yeah thats what I was exacty gonna do… Just kinda merge in. Are the admission sessions any good, or do they just state the obvious. ( that’s what they did on my usf tour ). Lol

They are all pretty much the same. (Except for UF, where they tell you how awesome they are and how blessed you will be if they accept you.) :)

When we visited in Jan the tour for the day we needed was already full. I called and since we were only 2 people, the person I spoke with was able to manually override the system and add us to the tour. They ended up offering a second tour that afternoon which actually fit our schedule better, so we changed to that one. Definitely call (don’t call admissions, call the visitor center).

We didn’t do the Info session because my son was already accepted.

Update: It was a difficult decision, but my son decided on Ohio State - it seemed to have more of what he was looking for.

If you show up for a walking tour, they will not turn you away. They try not to overbook, but if you are there, you get to go. For the minibus tour, there are only seats for so many. The walking tour is better anyway. It can be HOT, but it’s a great tour.

Do they do any tours at all on the weekends??? Because on the website it wouldn’t let me choose those days… But my thinking says the weekends would be the best time go… At least Saturday

No, admissions and the visitor center is closed on the weekends. I believe you can download a “self directed” walking tour online.

Are the self guided tours any good??

Go during the week and take a guided tour. You will get more of a feel for things when classes are in session.

We heard the same thing when we took our daughter to UF for a tour. It was all we could do to keep from laughing out loud.
