Please help!

<p>i always thought brandeis was a really easy school to get into and that i would hate it and that it would be a safety that i wouldnt even really consider
and then i visited it today and i absolutely LOVED IT!!!
it was amazing, i am in love
but then i was like damn, this is a hard school to get into
…so what are my odds now that i realize its a lot more competive than i thought </p>

<p>white jewish female- competitive high school, class of 500, no rankings</p>

<p>sat1: 620V, 680M, 680W-8essay (i got a 2040 psat…retaking sat in oct. hope to raise it close to 2100-i know i can increase math at least)</p>

<p>sat11’s: 700- bio, 640- ushist, 740- math1c</p>

<p>act: 32 composite- 10 essay</p>

<p>aps: ushistory-4, englang-4, psych-5
taking: bio, calc ab, stat, art hist, micro, spanish lang
-taken most honors and aps offered</p>

<p>gpa- 98.5 weighted</p>

<p>extra curriculars (i know they are weak)

<p>Your stats were stronger than my daughter's (also a swimmer) and she got in (and decided the $45,00+ tuition as a little over the top and chose another school with a great reputation but more reasonable costs). Are you planning on swimming in college? Have you contacted Coach Zotz yet?</p>

id love to swim on a club team but i def. wouldnt be good enough on a varsity team(i dont swim year round and im not very competetive timewise)

<p>If you can't attend w/out merit aid, don't bother. With a 1300 SAT, it's already a reach. Brandeis has so many downsides that it is hard to know about; first of all the housing. A tremendous number of kids are in forced triples and the number will go up next year when they tear down a shabby old dorm to build new housing. Keep looking! Good luck.</p>
