Applying to UCSC and UC Berkeley for art practice/visual arts. I have to send snail mail by the 24th of March if I want it to get there by April 1st for UCSC. I guess what I’m asking is if I have a good chance of getting into these schools, because I applied for visual arts and can’t find examples online of the type of stuff the schools want. I have more stuff I didn’t photograph yet and I have 3 days to make 8 more pieces from scratch if I need to since I already have 7. Most of the unphotographed stuff looks basically like what I have here. What direction should I go in? Is this too bland or too cartoony for the UC system?
Edit: Basically should I just continue to add on to this for the UCSC deadline or should I stop because this already isn’t what they want to see. Unsure if I can actually finish 8 things from scratch in 3 days but it is mildly possible for me to do so.
UCSC–Santa Cruz? Website says they don’t require a portfolio for freshmen.
