So, here's the story. I'm applying to a LAC that, since I'm a non-native speaker, requires me to send one of these tests: TOEFL, or SAT I, or SAT II. I got 105 on the TOEFL, which is decent. On my SAT though...I got 520 on the Critical Reading, 480 on the Math and 670 on the Writing. Because my SAT score is so low and not good enough for that school, I just wanna them to use the TOEFL to evaluate my application (which they have received already: everything is complete). BUT on the Additional Info section I said that I would send my SAT scores as soon as they were available. Is it a really bad idea if I call them and say I will not be sending them (I have to let them know because when they read on my application that, and they don't have my SAT scores, they will put it on hold, right?)? Will they get such a bad impression of me that it might severely lower my chances? Should I risk doing this so they don't see my Math score?

Bump…

Hmm…did you also report the scheduled time to take SAT in the app? If so, the school is aware that your scores is out; if not, maybe, just maybe, the school can’t be sure if you DID take the SAT or not. Just my 2 cents.

^Yes, I did. :(

Penny, at some point you need to end the drama. The daily urgent posts won’t change your situation. A top school like Williams is not going to use the TOEFL alone. It is not the kind of aptitude test the SAT and ACT are. It just shows English proficiency.

Go to their web site where they give a step by step guide for international applicants. It says you MUST submit an SAT or ACT score! MUST. SAT II is not a must but all of the international students I’ve worked with have submitted them.

You need to seriously consider schools appropriate for your stats.
