PLEASE HELP ME. Urgent!

Should I send my TOEFL and SAT scores?

I'm really worried because I had a low SAT score in math (490) and Williams' average is 600s. My writing score was 690 though (above their average). and I had 105 for the TOEFL ibt. Will not sending the SAT decrease my chances? Or should I just send the TOEFL? Please help.

What was critical reading?

^It was 510 :(

From what I just read, It is not either or, you need to send both TOEFL and SAT scores for international student. For SAT, you cannot omit certain sub score, you have to send all or none of each sitting.

I’m not aware that sending the TOEFL was optional. Isn’t it that if your home country’s native language isn’t English then you should take the TOEFL and submit it. So i would assume that you are required to submit your TOEFL scores if you fall into the above condition.

Again Williams isn’t SAT optional so you have to submit your SAT scores. If you’re unhappy with them then I’d suggest you retake 'em.

you might be eligible for TOEFL waivers depending on your educational system. Regarding SATs you should definitely resit if you want Williams. Have you done SAT IIs?

But I’m also applying to other colleges that DO NOT require SATs for internationals. I have been in a British international school for more than 4 years, but these LAC colleges clearly state on their websites that as an international, non-native speaker, I’m only require to send the Toefl OR Sat. Which one should I send?

You need to carefully read all the instructions for each school and follow what each asks you to do.

For Williams: (take a careful look at #3)

Guys, this isn’t JUST for Williams.

You most likely read it wrong. SAT and TOEFL are not equivalent to each other. A lot of schools state on their websites that you do not have to do TOEFL if you get a certain score on the critical reading section of the SAT( around 650). Not every school says this though. As you are in a british international school you should have done the IGCSEs. I assume First Language english was one of your subjects. If you achieved a B grade or higher you can get a TOEFL waiver. If you don’t know what that is then ask your counsellor. For your schools that do require the SAT i highly recommend the blue book
