can anyone help me out? please rate my chances of getting into NYU PLEASE
I currently have a 3.96 GPA for 9th through 11th grade, my gpa for junior year ended up only a 4.2, and so far i have gotten a 4.4 for my first 9 weeks of senior year. My SAT scores aren't too swell. my critical reading:650, math:610, and writing:660...i have taken advanced classes throughout , highschool. Last year i took AP CHEM, and AP ENGLISH along with a dual history class. My other classes were just advanced. I got a 4 on the AP ENGLISH EXAM. This year i am in AP physics, AP Art, AP Stats ( i know this is looked at as a slacker move), AP English, Spanish 4, and Dual Gov't. I was born in South Africa, both my parents are from small eastern european countries, and my first language was macedonian. I am fluent in that language and spent my freshmen year of highschool in an American Highschool there. I am really involved in my art, and have done a ton of community service...ranging from teaching english to macedonian children, to tutoring at a community center, to building and repairing playgrounds in Macedonia. I am vice president of National Art Honors society and am in beta club, national spanish honors society, key club, lit club.
Do you guys think i have a remote chance at all? I know my SATS suck, but my grades aren't too horrible.

hmmm just fix those SAT scores to 700 and up, and you'll be fine.
Good luck!

You don't say which college you are applying to. Tisch or CAS or one of the others? The business school has the highest SAT's but I'm not sure about the other schools' ranges. I agree with the above poster. Can you retake the SAT in Dec.? Otherwise I think you're fine. Do you have a back-up plan in case you don't get in NYU? It's a good idea to have a match and safety that you would really like to go to just in case you don't get into NYU. Good luck!
