Should I add more safeties? My essays are not going to be phenomenal because I am rushing them in 10 days…

Bumping this up

Bump. Would like some new perspectives

Bumping this again…I would really like another answer
Particular, I would like to know if WashU is a safety or a match

top 5% class rank, eh?

I would recommend not telling them all of those ECs unless you did something substantial in all of them. as is repeated often on this site, colleges want to see depth, not breadth.

Your reading SAT score might bring you down for schools such as Brown that look for a certain type of student.

you’re obviously a leader in your school, which I think is evident, so that’s something on your side.

overall:

Brown University - mid reach
University of Pennsylvania - low reach to match
Yale University - high to mid reach
Washington University in St. Louis - low reach to match
Cornell University - mid to low reach
Johns Hopkins University - idk, I think low reach to match
Chicago University - match
Northwestern University - match
Georgetown University - low reach
New York University - low reach to match
Boston College - match
University of Connecticut - match
Bekerley - low reach to match
UCLA - idk

you can PM me your essay(s) if you want, I’d be happy to read them.

Woah, that’s quite a daunting list of schools. But then again, you have some pretty impressive stats. You weren’t kidding about 11 essays O.O

Brown University - and PLME- reach
University of Pennsylvania- reach
Yale University- high reach (ECs… do you have any hooks?)
Cornell University-match
Johns Hopkins University-match
Chicago University-high match? (I’m applying there too with lower stats… eek!)

Boston College-safety
University of Connecticut-safety

And for the record, I thought your common app essay was great~

care to http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/828507-chance-me-please-d-2.html?

Oh, and keep in mind that colleges are probably not going to see all those ECs anyway; choose the ones most important to you.

also @collegeblur: I don’t understand what you’re talking about. Colleges aren’t going to see what other colleges she’s going to apply to. I mean, having the stress of writing a million essays might reduce the quality of apps, if that’s what you mean… but otherwise wouldn’t hurt her chances to apply to a lot of colleges.

[Brown University: Program in Liberal Medical Education](http://bms.brown.edu/plme/prospective/stats.html)

link for Brown PLME in case anyone wanted to look at it

I think those are all very realistic. You’re definately in to UCONN, NYU, and BC. I think that you have a good standing for the ivy’s also. Congrats on your accomplishments and yes i think its is very realistic.
