I am thinking of applying to these schools next year. Can you tell me which ones are the best for econ major, and possibly rank them from best to worst please?

McGill
GaTech
USC
UMiami
Tulane
UWisc Mad
UGA
UIndiana Bloom

Thanks for any help. My stats: 4.19 gpa 2100 sat great ec with leadership, will not qualify for financial aid and therefore need scholarships (hence some of the schools above).

On your list, Wisconsin-Madison is best in Economics. McGill is also quite good. The other schools on your list don’t have great Econ departments.

Thank you, can you maybe specify which ones are good vs. which ones are not in the remaining ones? I am guessing this probably just matters on the overall quality of the university?

Indiana and USC have solid Econ departments too. I am not familiar with the others.

Try: Claremont McKenna College

Harder to get into than those, but excellent economics department!

Thanks Neal, CMC is my top choice already if I get their Frank Seaver Leadership Scholarship, however this is very unlikely, and it is the only financially viable way for me to go there. But yes, their econ program, linked with their amazing international affairs program would be the absolute best school for me.
