Prompt: Do people accomplish more when they are allowed to do things in their own way.

My Response---

People may not be able to attain their goal or may feel jaded when following someone else's rules to achieve their goal. People flourish more when they perform of their own free will. Actually being of contrasting mental and physical abilities, one particular objective is carried out differently by different people.

The great physicist Albert Einstein never liked rote learning system that seemed to stifle originality and creativity and he often felt out of place. His difficulty with learning in rote, made some of his teachers wonder if he was mentally retarded. But in actuality, he prefered a different way of learning. He derived pleasure from visualizing the problems and obtaining solution by thinking, which he called thought experiments. He had a ferocious ability to focus on a problem for a long time, sometimes for months or years. This unique way of learning of his was misapprehended as procrastination or nonchalant attitude toward study. When he was in Gymnasium (secondary school in Germany) One teacher told him that he would never amount to anything. Even when he was in university one math professor labelled him lazy though he had exceptional talent in math. With his inquisitive mind and independent thought process, he later discovered some of the most famous theories in physics which changed the course of physics and founded the base of quantum physics.

Apart from this well known fact, my personal experience also left me realizing that people accomplish more when they do things in their own way. In my junior year of high school, my physics teacher taught us Circuit merely dictating the theories. I hardly figured out the theories. Then I decided to check out the theories hands-on. I bought required circuit components and tried the theories. This not only gave me a deep understanding of the subject but also gave me practical knowledge and made me more interested in physics. As a consequence, I finished the physics text book in next one month and earned a perfect score in physics

In conclusion, doing things in one's own way introduces something new to this world. As we can see from the example of Einstein, how his unique way of accomplishing knowledge shaped the modern physics, changed the we used to see the world before his discovery. If he had never thought in his own way we would have never get such a genius like him. In my case it turned my perception of incomprehension of physics into fun. Actually, doing things in one's way means being unique being oneself.
