--------Essay-----------

Twelve years old, an age of innocence and a time of figuring out who you are and who you want to be. Most girls are trying their best to fit in with the typical teenage life, entering a world that is concerned with boys, the latest gossip, fashion, friends and family.
My world is different. Six years after I have moved from Miami to Germany and right after the divorce of my parents, I have decided to leave the comforts of my home and study many miles away in the elite boarding school Salem.

I have always had my own mind, knowing what I want from life as well as what I expect from myself. that is the reason why I have challenged myself at this young age to explore more of the world. My thirst for knowledge and education that forms you as a person, as a respectful, critical citizen of the world, using its fortunate position to make the best of everything he can get as well as to use it to help and serve others. This is an important concept of the school: being respectful to everyone and everything. The international alignment of the school endorses that. A positive side effect, being fortunate to have friends from all over the world and all kinds of cultures has broadened my horizon.

Also, the special way of learning has developed me into the person I am today. At most other schools, simple grades are the only thing that counts for students as well as teachers whereas at Salem the teaching methods focus on working collaboratively, being creative and making use of all resources, such as talents of each other, because everyone obtains some talents and qualities, that one can find. Again, being respectful, especially to opinions is essential here as they might encourage a totally different point of view or help in some other area.

Furthermore, an important focus of Salem Castle School is extracurriculars. As they state in their mission statement, students have to make their own experiences and work not only with their heads but also with their hands to be moulded into a conscious world citizen since only this combination really develops a young human for future life's of service and responsibility.
During the hard times I had to overcome, after the divorce of my parents, the breakup of my home and acquiring my own world at the age of twelve when all other girls live in a world that is made up of pink glitter, a red line that has accompanied me throughout my life was my faith in god.

I cannot say that this school produces the perfect student, as a lot depends on your personality, your willingness to develop and the effort you put into everything you do, but it has made me into the open-minded, highly enthusiastic and responsible student I am today.

i really don’t like it. I’m sorry. I don’t think it stands out very well. And I just can’t feel any human in these words. choose another topic

I learned more about the school than i did about you. That is not good.

yea, im siding with the others. I dont want to be harsh, but colleges want to learn more about you, rather than your school
