D says quote was in the prompt. This essay was not enjoyable reading. 6 or 7? No way a 12.

hahaha great username momnipotent

thanks---BTW-it is a joke! Is the armpit of America in Pittsburgh or Charleston maybe?

you guys are always ready to criticize lol, you'll never understand..and yeah the quote was straight from the prompt, that's the answer too:
"How the heck do you remember such topic specific quotes ahead of time for a SAT test? That's ridiculous to me"..
sigh

The essay in all actuality deserves about a 10, but again these essays are not always on specifics, if the reader thought it was hollistically a good approach to writing this essay, then he/she may have decided it's a 12. "This essay is mediocore at best," *** are you talking about? I for one do not believe it is mediocore, it deserves about a 10.

Achieving a 12 on the SAT essay is not as impossible as you guys probably think. If I graded this essay, it would probably get a 6 for the following reasons:

It has a clear, unambigious thesis that relates to the topic.

It is organized, giving detailed, relevant support and is critically thought out discussing working in an office setting, and work outings that also help structure life.

The sentence structure is varied (i.e. not all sentences are subject verb.)

The college board readers understand that you guys are high school students, and this is a first draft of an essay written in 25 minutes. For that, this essay should deserve a top score.
