The deadline is comming up and I could really use some feedback:

Here is my essay:

My high schools core curriculum already challenges students by requiring two AP English courses, two AP History courses, and one AP Science course by graduation, but to broaden my interests and potential fields of study for college, I have seized the educational opportunities offered by my high school and UCSC.
To expand my knowledge of science and math, I enrolled in a UCSC Chemistry course during the summer of 2003 so that I could take AP Biology, AP Physics, and advanced math classes such as AP Calculus and AP Statistics. To expand my appreciation of the arts, I enrolled in AP Art History in my junior year, and I am now taking Symphony and AP Music Theory to refine my skills of music performance. As a result of my exposure to art and science, I am further developing my new interest in architecture by taking Introduction to Architecture through the UCSC High School Scholars program, and I am taking an art class to practice my drawing.
Besides developing my interests in many subjects, taking numerous AP classes allowed me to taste the hard work necessary to do well at college, and taking courses at UCSC gave me firsthand experience of what college is like.

I have read some very abstract essays on this topic...is this essay to formal or is it good. ADVICE PLEASE!!
