Please, what are my chances?

-They are very good, I am a very good writer, my teacher who read one of them said that it was one of the best he read from anyone in the AP Lit. class.

I'd say you have a good shot, especially if you plan on making your SAT scores higher.

In general, everyone has a better shot ED. I'd go for it.

Well, those SAT scores are going to hurt you, and how'd you get a 103 GPA, but get 3's and 4's on the AP's? Did your school have a huge weight on your grades? Your EC's are average, like most of the other applicants.

Overall, I think you have a good chance.

I got 3s and 4s so far on my APs because I kind of such at taking collegeboard exams, but my grades UNweighted in those AP classes were around 95, which translated to around 103 weighted. Plus, in the first two years, I took all honors classes, which also have a slight weight, but are much easier.

i don't think your SATs will hurt you per se--are they superscored?

if both your two main sections (M + CR) were 660's then i'd be nervous but right now at least one of them is 690..try to get them both up to the 690+ and i'd be more confident

Indeed I am working very hard on it. So far, I've been getting around 740 for the Math on the collegeboard practice tests in the blue book, and my CR are crawling around 710. I still have a month, so I am definitely going to work my butt off to make sure I get around 740 for CR as well.

Does Cornell look at the writing section at all?

I heard that most schools today do see your writing score but disregard it for the most part. I think they do read your essay from the SAT/ACT though but I don't know if that's a major factor in their admissions process.

Obviously if you score around 700+ in both CR and math and get like a 550 in writing, they might become somewhat suspicious. So as long as your writing score is relatively consistent with your scores in the other sections, it shouldn't hurt you or help you.
