Pleasee tell me how good a chance I have :)

You're right oreo45 :) Haha it's so hard, but I'll try to be positive :)

Bumpedy bump!

Bumpbumpbump

Bumpedybumpedy

I think they would love to have you @ brown since u have unique experiences living abroad and such. we all know brown is an awesome school and they look MORE to who u are than ur gpa and test scores..(a bit hypocritical here since I'm worried about my test scores and gpa lol)

but, yeah! if they don't accept u, it's totally their loss : )

That made me feel so much better haha thanks :) !

good luck, but this thread needs to die.

Haha why? People are giving me good advice and stuff...

My SAT II Math score went up to a 680 and I took it again today :)

Honestly, if you've applied ED, you should just quit worrying and stop with the chances thread. Decisions come out in like 5 days, and theres nothing you can do about anything right now. You just have to wait a little longer. Sorry, I'm just being blunt.

CONGRATULATIONS on your score.

My two cents worth with chancing is: you have a good chance because you are culturally interesting. If you were John Doe applying from a standard school, you would have a significantly worse shot. Your international perspective (and minority status) will be your biggest hooks. Don't lose hope, but be aware that there are lots of people with more stellar academic records. If you've applied ED, I would recommend you get almost finished with your apps before Dec 11, so you can feel more positive and not panicked if you get rejected. All the best!

Since I've chanced you, would you mind answering a question?
What does it mean when people say "bump" in a thread? excuse my ignorance.

yeah i don't get the bump thing either. maybe thats end the thread?

i also think that it is practically impossible for anyone to get into plme without like a 2400 and who isn't a supergenius. so maybe you won't get in, but you can still get into brown and go on to an amazing med school anyway! you are a very interesting person and i don't see why brown would reject you.

anyhoo, i agree with whoever said that this thread is pointless now. it is only going to make you feel more stressed out and i certainly know as well as every other ED applicant that you do not need added stress right now! these are just the opinions of people who are not admissions officers and there is no way anyone can know what they will think of you (not that i dont think everyone here has valuable opinions)

I FOUND OUT by searching discussions, should've thought of that.
When a thread is posted on it's moved up to the top of the list of threads on a particular topic. So if you want to move a thread up to the top, therefore attracting more posts, you make an inane comment (bump) to Bring Up My Post.
Ta daaaaa

o wow! thats really clever!! nice work lol

anything for you

what are the typical stats for a brown university student and for a plme student?

From Collegeboard:

How Do I Stack Up?
How does my academic performance stack up?

1st-year students:

92% in top 10th of graduating class
99% in top quarter of graduating class
100% in top half of graduating class

Middle 50% of

SAT Critical Reading: 660 - 760
SAT Math: 670 - 770
SAT Writing: 660 - 760
ACT Composite: 28 - 33

Okay yeah you guys are right- I need to just relax and stop trying to guess what will happen, sorry...

End of thread! :)

The activities you participated in are amazing. The only thing that worries is your SAT scores and your average GPA. Maybe I'm wrong but as far as I know upenn average GPA is 3.9. I think 3.75 is possible when you have 2300-2200 in SAT I, and more than 700 in SAT IIs. I don't know maybe I'm wrong. Anyway wish u good luck!

Omg omg omg i got innn! :d :d :d im going to brownn!!!
