dnno if you can do anything now… but if ur bank account has 60000 dollars or more… then dont go for need-based… but definitely go for merit based always helps if you smart…

why do u guys all apply to the same places ?? u guys should try out liberal arts colleges. ull learn waaaay moe there than big universities. go to universities to get a “prestigious degree” for ur postgrad… undergrad is to enjoy 4 years of learning and exploring… whatis wrong with u ppl ?

oh yeah coz a guy with a “passion” for engineering will goto syracuse university, or if ull go through the thread… harvard ! for engineering ! seriously. thats not passion. its using engineering as a means to get a job. and what priorities ? prestige and a job over true learning ? thats what im saying has to stop. im not saying dont go to a university. but every singly person applies to ucb just because its “ranked high” rankings are insignificant if u have passion. ull go to the place where ull learn best and this is not a place with 500 ppl sharing a physics lecture.
