Plzzz help-ACT advice

Hi,
I’m taking my ACT on Saturday (July 14) and I need last minute advice and tips. Here r my last test scores. I took it in February wo studying and got a 22. For June ACT I studied for a week and was able to raise it to a 26. For July I’ve been studying for the past month and have been able to get it to a 32 (based official practice tests I’ve been using to asses myself.) However today and yesterday I took two practice tests and it seems to have dropped to a 28 and I’m freaking out Bc I really need to do well to qualify me for scholarships Bc college is gonna be extremely hard for my family to afford. Looking over my practice tests, my mistakes are careless mistakes. Timing isn’t an issue for me however i can’t seem to avoid making careless mistakes and losing focus-especially these past two days. If anyone has any tips or advice please share as soon as you can since the test is in three days. Thanks!

Any recommendations would greatly be appreciated thank you

Take a deep breath and relax. You are prepared. Take the next few days off and go into the test fresh.

.

Being stressed is not going to help you. The most any parent can ask is for a child to do their best. You have studied. You have prepared. There is nothing left to do but stay centered. There will be college opportunities for you no matter what your ACT score!

I really hope so thank you for the advice

You may have overprepared. Your brain isn’t a muscle, but it gets tired just like your muscles do.

Have you been taking those tests in test-like conditions?

The best thing you can do is schedule something fun and relaxing and low energy and soul-affirming for Friday. Spend time with friends, see a movie, binge watch your favorite show. Have a solid protein-rich dinner with a decadent dessert and get to bed as early as you can manage. Have a protein-rich breakfast before the test, pack some decent snacks - something with sugar for quick energy and protein (again) for slow-release energy.

Look up a meditation guide sometime today. Before you start testing or practicing, set a timer and do a meditation exercise for 5 minutes.

Good luck. You’ve proven that you can do it, you just need to get there in the right frame of mind.
