Point of this forum?

I don't understand the point of this forum because honestly, all of the threads are the same. You could make a table and sticky it for people to compare themselves with which would essentially replace every single thread here.

If you have: a 3.8+ GPA, top 10% of graduating class, 2300+ SAT, 750+ SAT IIs, 5's on APs, Leadership positions in several ECs, 150+ Community Service hours, Varsity sports, State/National Level Awards then Congratulations because you are STILL a reach at HYPS! :D

I think we know that all someone is looking for by posting here is reassurance, which you probably aren't going to get considering how competitive everyone on CC seems to be. Besides, after reading a few threads, you can figure out for yourself if you're a safety, match, or reach. I sure as hell don't know why people would want to be judged by some prepubescent, probably biased, overly competitive high school PEERS.

Disclaimer- I know I'm generalizing, I'm just getting the point across.

lol TheProtagonist expect people to antagonize ; )

What I don't understand is why some people give incredibly vague information. "HYPS is a reach." No duh. But there's a difference between it being a reach for someone with a 3.5 GPA and 2100 SAT and mediocre ECs and it being a reach for the candidate you described.
