Poli Sci 6 ended up being canceled this quarter, but it is in the tentative Winter 2011 schedule. Can I more or less count on it being offered (ie not cancelled) this winter since it was canceled for fall?

Anyone have any clue?

talk to the polisci dept. how the hell are we suppossed to know the scheduling

The “official” schedule is not yet out, of course, but it looks pretty likely that PS6 is going to happen based on a specific result (as in professor, days, and meeting time) that shows up in a search for classes on the registrar’s website.

I know that the following isn’t merely a repeat of last year’s winter schedule (information is, indeed, “rolled” from year to year to use as a template) because it doesn’t match last winter and, if you had watched it for a little while, you would have seen that it occasionally changes.:

[Schedule of Classes: Class Search Results](http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule/result.aspx?termsel=11W&subareasel=POL%20SCI)

PS6 will be offered in the winter. They don’t typically have it during the fall quarter. I know this b/c this is the stats class most transfer poli sci students need in order to declare the major since most cc don’t offer this course.

Can’t you take any lower division statistics course at UCLA for the major, like Statistics 10? It was my understanding that PS6 was needed for the methods and models field but not necessarily for the major…

^ You can take either Stats 10 or PS6. MOST general Elementary Stats at CCC don’t count. Search my post history…I had a post about this where I posted my Email dialogue with Poli Sci counselor at UCLA.

Thanks to those that helped! Poli Sci 6 just sounded more interesting than Stats to me. Odd, the registrar link posted works for me, but when I it look up I get no specifics.

can anyone give some feedback about pol6 with James Denardo? i heard he’s nice but the class materials are too much to handle.

bump to the question about Denardo
