What’s the main difference between “straight International Relations” and Political Science with an International Relations concentration? I know the International Relations program is impacted and that it’s a popular program, but is there a major difference between the two? I’m working on my application, and these are the majors I’m torn between applying to.

Hmm…well, I’m a neurophys major myself, but generally speaking I’d say a good approach (if you haven’t already of course) might be to get in touch with the coordinators, advisors, or professors on the admissions boards for both and ask if there’s be a difference in terms of how each would prepare you for advanced degree programs or careers. Professor Daniel Kono is on Pol Sci professor I know who’s very friendly - he instructs the introductory International Relations class.
