I am a Poli Sci major transferring to UMich next fall. I am quite confused about the major and i have a few questions.

My past university didnt have any were near as many class choices, nor did it have a “concentration requirement”, How am i supposed to know what classes are American Politics, Compartive ect?

2.I realize i need 24 credits for the major, but how many need to be in that particular concentration?

Any tips on classes/Profs to avoid or really good ones?

Thanks alot.

Ask an advisor for which of your classes counted as American, Comparative, World, Theory, or Methods.

Without referring to the Bulletin, I think it's 18 credits at 300-level or higher and 6 credits at 400-level or higher for a total of 24.

Try Ratemyprofessors and AdviceOnline (https://www.msa.umich.edu/advice/index.php). The latter is the result of the forms students fill out at the end of class each semester which give their feedback on the professor, the class, the workload, etc. and is very useful for all majors as it represents a lot more people than RMP will.
