I am pretty sure it is today. My counsellor did receive an email saying that it will be today and this date aligns with previous years’ data (in terms of the Friday before the 15th and the fact that grade requests come out 1-2 days before decisions).
No need to stress about a lack of email, Pomona only emails you the second that your decision is ready. Not necessarily the day of.
Good Luck everyone. Congrats to all new sagehens. If you are deferred, don’t fret. You may just have to wait a little longer. Keep hopeful and carry on!
For those of you in the US, what are u guys gonna eat for dinner?
since decisions are expected to be out around 5 PM, I’m gonna celebrate / console myself with food… I’M GONNA EAT SASHIMI!!!
hope it makes me feel better, haha
Hello all on this ED1 string. I am a parent of an ED applicant and have been watching this string, and several other strings for the past 2 months. I wanted to let you know that I am impressed by all of you. The advice and support that you have for each other is incredible. I do hope that you are all admitted, and believe that if you are, you will somehow find each other at Pomona and become friends for life. It seems like just yesterday I was in your shoes, anxiously waiting to find out if a lifetime of hard work would be recognized by my dream school. I know it is hard to think of life beyond 5pm today, but at some point that hour will come and go, and I am hopeful that you will find these thoughts useful at that time. This advice applies not only to your ED1 decision, but pretty much every other time like this in the future when you have worked so hard and are anxiously awaiting the results of your efforts. If you are accepted, I have to say, you are absolutely exceptional and also very fortunate, because most great things in life require a lot of luck. Soak in the wonder of it all! This will be a moment that stays with you, motivates you, and empowers you for the rest of your life. If you are not immediately accepted, you are equally exceptional. You wouldn’t be here and on this string if that were not the case. There is just another path that is a better one for you so find that open door and see what is on the other side! That path may bring you back to Pomona, or it may take you in another direction where you will thrive and be happier than you ever imagined. That path leads to knowledge, to a career, to a family, and hopefully to a legacy that you leave for the next generation. There are many, many different ways to make this journey and if you work hard and do the right thing, recognize opportunities when they appear, and give back to others, you will get there. So all the best to all of you. I am sure that with your passion and compassion, you will do great things.
