Has anyone gotten an email confirming that they received your app?

Nope…I really hope they got all of my app!

Got an email confirming the receipt of Pomona’s preliminary app soon after submitting it. The common app has automatic confirmations for submission and online fee payment.

If I submitted the Prelim App along with the Signatures sheet and still haven’t gotten a confirmation email after over a week, is there a problem? I live in Washington State so it should have arrived.

yeah, i got the preliminary app confirmation and the common app confirmation, so i hope that means everything got there…
When I sent the preliminary app a couple months ago, it took almost a month for them to notify me so, AnonymousAsian, I’m sure you are fine.

My issue is that I sent in some of my app by mail (like the school report supplement and science supplement). I’m hoping that they will email me if they did not receive any part of my app.

You can always call or email them. They are pretty responsive.

True, I have had very pleasant experiences calling them so far. Thanks for the suggestion.

Update: I just got an email confirming that they got all of my app.

I just got the email too!

On Pomona’s website, it says that the ED1 notification date is Dec. 15. Does that mean that notifications should be received by that date or is that the date they start sending them out?

From my experience when my son applied to colleges a few years ago, those dates are usually their own internal deadline for getting them in the mail, but they often go out sooner.

Yay I’m so excited! Less than two weeks.

Last year, the first posted acceptance on this forum was 12/14. My D received her fat envelope on 12/15. What a happy day! Good luck to all of you!

Does the envelope come before the email?

From what I’ve heard, Pomona’s notification is only snail mail w/o email.
(old fashioned but classy)
Gaaa! I can not wait to find out!!!

Acceptances arrive in big white envelopes, sent priority mail.

Good luck!

Yes! Snail mail > email :)

eeek. I’m getting so nervous.

I’m glad that we get to have the envelope experience, but I think it’s making the wait more agonizing for me!

I’ve been trying not to think about it but I’m finding that’s becoming increasingly more difficult xD

Ahhh me too! I sort of forgot about it for a couple of weeks in the beginning but now I think about it every day.
