Thanks WayOutWestMom. Its always good to have some of that anticipation of getting something in the mail.

roffle, cinnamon. I was hoping the exact same thing.

I can't wait to hear! Glad no one else has yet either. Am I the only one who's not into science or math here? I proposed an archaeology study of Roman Britain...hoping that it'll be different enough for them to accept it. If I got this, it would push Rochester much higher up on my list. (Deciding between this and a few others, but got a huge scholarship at Dad's alma mater.)

Agreed ^. And I'm not science either - I want to intern at a history/art museum in France.

haha i did an archealogy study in either Egypt or South America (Peru or Mexico City)
whoa. i feel like we should get it just because we wanna get dirty.

Yeah!

Although I'd be happy cataloguing random coins and pottery shards in a museum library.

Anyone heard yet?

Yep---rec'd e-mail a few minutes ago.

Yay! I got one! Anyone else? How many do they give?

I got one too!!! I'm so excited! (And I'm going to an accepted students evening tonight so people will know what I'm talking about!)

The acceptance email was so nice, too.

Does anyone know if they only email the people who got it? I haven't heard anything yet. :/

I'm so excited also, I got the Portable Research Grant!!!!

I have no idea if they only email the people who got it but I bet they don't send all of them out once. Maybe later tonight?

Thanks for the encouragement. :)
And congratulations!

interesting... i got the PRG

i wonder how selective it is

Was anyone who received it yet part of the group that had to submit by March 30 as opposed to 25?

Extra congrats to those who got it--you should be proud. I was at an admitted students party for URoc tonight and met Mr. Burdick from admissions and he said that this year TONS of students applied, more than usual. I'm assuming that means everyone didn't get it...hopefully most though!!

I got it as well. My due date was the 25th-- I postmarked it that day. Wrote about research possibility in canine influenza. Out of curiosity---is anyone going to the lunch?

I am! I want to stay the night too. I might do two spring open campuses though because I also want to take a class and do other things.

I got the grant!! I'm so excited, even though I'm torn between BU and Rochester right now. Ah.

Can't go to the lunch :( But then again I'm not even sure I'm going to Rochester. It's between UR and Brown at the moment. Though the PRG is a tally in Rochester's favor :)

Just found the PRG email - I got it too but I think I will go to UVa or Vanderbilt, much better fin aid - though Rochester has been great in working with me in this regard they still can't match the other two schools - not even close!
Good luck to all of you.
