So I was accepted to a top 5 LAC through QuestBridge and I was wondering if I should worry at all about being rescinded from my acceptance.
I was accepted with a 3.75 gpa. If my GPA for this year drops to around a 3.3, should I be worrying? I am taking very hard classes (AP Calc BC and calc-based physics II), which hopefully will warrant my drop in GPA.
How bad do I have to perform GPA-wise in order to be rescinded?
Hey, congrats and don’t stress too much. As long as you have Bs and As (you might get an email asking you to explain your grade drop if you have a C, I think?), you’re okay
Keep an eye on your grade % also. Friend of my S14 was accepted to a state school. The AP Gov teacher at the high school graded on a curve. So, a 65% in the class was a ‘C’. But, the school somehow saw the 65% and said “Nope, that’s a D - acceptance rescinded”. It was a clear case of Senioritis. I agree with above, challenging course load can explain drop. GLHF
