I wrote about this in the UCB admission being revoked thread. Let me explain my situation, to begin, I am IGETC ceritifed, and have all my major requirements done for ucla. As many of you know I was rejected from UCSB and admitted to UCLA (Political Science,3.4, IGETC). Now for my dilemma I was taking a total of 17 units this semester for a total of 92 units, 12 at one cc (Econ 1, Econ 2, History at Mission College in Sylmar, CA ) and 5 unit course, chemistry, at a separate cc (Pasadena city college). The three units from Mission College were requirements for UCSB but after being rejected for excessive units (92 total units) I dropped those classes and received W's for them. I am only registered in the chemistry class at pasadena cc and then heard ucla admitted me. After reading on the admissions contract that I must report any changes to my work in progress I reported I dropped the three classes and in the explanation section I wrote that I was taking those classes to fulfill requirements for another school. Now when I check the admission page on the ucla site it says my status is under review and I shuld receive word in two weeks on whether or not my admission will be revoked. I am dying here! I have been on a roller coaster this entire month and will crash to dead bottom if I receive word Iv'e been rejected... I received a call from someone in my department at ucla inviting me to a dinner for new trasnfer students and I asked them if this would affect me and they said as far as they knew I was in unless I failed a course or somethig drastic like that. We have to maintain our reported gpa too right? Because I had a 3.4 but the chem class is pretty intense and I'm just hanging on to my A if I get a B will my overall gpa drop to a 3.3 or something like that? and if that happens will my admission be revoked for that too?

Oh wow....I'm sorry to hear that.....hopefully it'll be resolved in time, be praying that God would make His way clear for you to attend such a great school. I know how hard you've worked......Good luck to you...

how about talking to the admissions people at UCLA...

I think the GPA maintenance is approximate, and thus the .1 drop will be of little consequence. I wish I had an answer to the first part of your problem, but I am at a loss.

I'm calling them first thing tomorrow mornin fei time will tell though...
