I was taking 32 units this semester. However, I was over my head to be taking that many units. So, I dropped my chemistry, Geology, geology lab, and children's literature class. That is a total of 12 units. None of the classes are major related and I have already completed igetc. I am worried that UCLA will revoke my admission.

I think you will be alright, just notify them asap. Why were you taking 32 units if you didn’t need to?

32 units? I hope to God those aren’t semester units…

And you should definitely contact UCLA and ask them for yourself. My educated guess is that if you’ll still have 60+ units completed by the end of spring and you have completed IGETC(which you have) as well as all pre-reqs for your major completed, you should be fine.

As long as you meet the 90 unit requirement I think you’ll be fine. I suppose you could ask them. Why are you taking unrelated classes if you completed IGETC?

@Music1990 @underbear , I was taking 32 units because I thought I wanted to major in geology. However, now I don’t
@Cayton, I was taking 32 semester units. I will have 60+ units and IGETC complete by the end of spring.

I’m barely scraping by 12 units this semester and I’m suffering from severe transferitis. I think you’ll be fine as long as you don’t break your fundamental UC requirements, as others have said.

Great gadzooks! You dropped more classes than me! Amazing how many people I can find on the net with the same problems as me…haha. In my case, I didn’t get into my courses. I’ll have to note I couldn’t take it so, that’s pretty much the same thing as dropping.

I thought they were going to revoke my admission because of this, but you…Wow. I’d go to that tab on the left where you can notify them of any schedule changes. I’m planning on doing this, but in a few days so they don’t get trigger happy and send my admission to some other soul. Not to mention that I have no idea if I’ll be getting into one of the dropped classes starting on Monday…
