so basically, my AP chem teacher decided to screw us over and go on maternity leave this semester.
no one's doing so well right now in her class (the substitutes are extremely inexperienced and confused). now, im afraid that i might get a D+ in this class D:
if this should happen, do you think UCSD would accept this excuse?

thanks.

call admissions
Phone: (858) 53 4-4831

make sure your overall gpa is above 3.0w

also, talk to your school admin and see what goes on your transcript if you can drop...

my friend had a D in calc bc...he called and made sure to notify them, and they ended up saying it was ok (i think) but he ended up staying closer to home and going to sac state instead so im not sure

heres what they have to say

Notify the Office of Admissions immediately if you earn a grade below "C" in your senior year. Even one D or F may render you ineligible to the University of California. By notifying us promptly, we may be able to offer some alternate preparation that will allow you to maintain your admission.

Speak with your teacher and see if you can find out your current grade and projected grade. If the teacher says something less than a C (or less than you think it honestly should be), try to find out if the majority of the class is headed that direction. You might want to talk to a Vice Principal or Principal about the issue so they can monitor and possibly intervene/normalize before you get the D.

good idea, ucsducladad!

for sure, i can't drop at this point in the semester.
but i could talk to my teacher or contact the admissions office.

thanks a lot, guys! :)
