you have made me feel better. I cried over it last night, but now that its out of my system i’ll be able to just take a step back and look at it objectively. Basically I have UCSC, San Fran State, or community college ahead of me (I’ll write off Davis for now–but u better believe im gonna write a kick ass 200 word statement and accept the offer today–and maybe in may i’ll get in, and if i wont im sure by then i will have accepted the fact that im going to another college.)</p>
<p>Another thing that sucks about the waitlist though is that you get 3 days to accept through SIR after you find out you got in. At least UCSB offers you a week. So it’ll all be very rushed, haha i wouldn’t mind if they gave me 20min though, i really wanna go.</p>

<p>Can someone comfort me? I was so certain I would get an acceptance after seeing my friend with a 1900 SAT and 3.5 UC GPA get in earlier this morning. I check now and I got a waitlist offer with:</p>
<p>3.96 UC GPA
31 ACT
1920 SAT
780 math 2 / 650 physics
400 hours of community service</p>
<p>I was accepted into irvine but now waitlisted to UCdavis… I’m really disappointed.</p>
<p>After being accepted into UCLA, American, UCSB, UCSD, and USC, I pretty much thought i would get into Davis. Nope, I was waitlisted. Fersure Davis.</p>

<p>Entire situation is really sad. Students work really hard for 4 years, guidance counselors push UC’s and not other schools and look what happens…</p>
<p>^^True that. I have a friend with a 4.6, good SAT and ECS - waited listed to UCSB, denied UCLA and UCSD. Didn’t apply to Davis. Two other friends who took every AP ay my hs and got straight A’s and had good SATs and ECs. Both denied every UC except SB. It’s just inexplicable and beyond maddening.</p>

<p>yea, my friend got into UCSD, SB, and mayybee berkely but she was waitlisted for Davis. She knows how much I, and other people want to get in though so she denied the waitlist offer. I appreciate it when people who know that they absolutely don’t want to go deny acceptance/waitlist offers.</p>

<p>waitlisted for econ at davis. but got in for slo business and ucsb econ and accounting. i guess davis isnt very practical for accounting anyways…looks like i could be heading to ucsb next year ole ole ole ole! :)</p>
