[The Aggie: UC announces admission decisions for waitlisted students](http://theaggie.org/article/2010/06/02/uc-announces-admission-decisions-for-waitlisted-students)

I found a few numbers from last year. Of the 5000 waitlists offered, about 1500 were accepted. From the 1500, almost 600 were given acceptances from the waitlist, and 350 of the 600 enrolled to UC Davis. Just trying to give some info for people intimidated with the 350/5000 waitlist enrollment like me.

So 1500 accept the waitlist offer while the other 3,500 decide to not accept the waitlist. That’s takes out a bunch of competition already. So 600 of 1500 actually do get accepted, but only 350 decide to enroll. Hm sounds not too bad, but stats might not be the same this year. My last hopeeee!

It won’t hurt to accept it. Even if we do get accepted from the waitlist, we aren’t obligated to go right?

yea u aren’t obligated
the only down side is u might lose some money if you do get accepted from the wait-list since you need to send your SIR to another school. Though its not too bad.

The money is worth it if it means i can study there. I mean you will never know unless you try. Just the wait…ahh the wait is so painful lol.
