Which is more difficult, the advanced placement tests or the SAT IIs? Are they both made by the college board?

dunno..yes..they're both by college board

You need to know more to do respectably on the APs, but more people get a 5 than an 800 on most of the subjects.

so the SATIIs are easier, but graded harder?

yea
a 5 can correspond roughly to anything from a 650 - 800

well, it depends...writing seems really easy, and i only got a 3 on the lit/comp exam...got a 4 on chem, only got a 710...so it jsut depends on what tests you take

It's hard to say, because they test a little differently. If you do well on an AP test you'll undoubtedly do well on an SAT II, but getting a 5 on an AP test and an 800 on an SAT II are very different.

I got a 5 on the AP Chemistry exam with relative ease, but only a 720 on the SAT II test for Chemistry without much additional preparation...

I think AP tests cover material in much more depth and have a much nicer curve than SATIIs, which have more breadth in material, but a harder curve (if you're aiming for that 800).

thanx for the info

I got a 5 on the AP US History exam but only 660 on SAT II's.. dunno I took it without much studying about 6 months after my AP test
