i forgot what I put i think it was 6.5

for antarctica, the choice that didn't belong was the scientist one?

yep, you're right goldfish

for the one on tvs, what one of the answers that "the author was trying to put everything in historical perspective" in the first paragraph?

hmmm...i remember that...I think I put that, but I can't remember if there was another answer choice which specifically talked about what the historical perspective established.

No, I didn't put that for the TV one. I think I put "another interpretation of a view point established earlier" or something. Am I thinking of the right thing?

i put like a choice which was like paralleling contemperory times to historical, or something, i'm fuzzy on that question.

"i put like a choice which was like paralleling contemperory times to historical, or something, i'm fuzzy on that question."

yeah, i think that's the one i'm talking about.

Another interpretation definetely was one of the q's; I personally think that was correct. :)

how was it another interpretation? It was the same interpretation (critics falsely think new ideas are bad) but in a different context.

The first paragraph said that Plato did not like theaters/plays because he thought they were bad examples for the people. However, in the second paragraph, the academic hypothesizes that Plato only thought that way because he did not want "common people" to have such influential methods of mass entertainment.

Eh, I think I got an 800 in Math, but I got 3 Vocab wrong at least. Trenchant, Cathartic and Dia-something. Which questions were harrowing and disengenuous? Were they experimental?

methinks wer're talking about different questions; I don't really remember, as I said the exact section this was in; just have a vague recollection of chosing something like that.

how are the CR questions ever going to help you in life?

yes, i believe harrowing one was experimental

excel, without doing well in reading, we wouldn't be able to do well as teachers, lawyers, doctors, etc. since reading is a critical factor for success in hard working jobs.

Well, I was wondering, are we going to have some 3 threads on this, or shall we all just post in one of them, makes for easier reading later.

So was the answer "trying to find a different interpretation"?

On the beaver essay, was one of the answers that the author was trying to present a traditional approach to the problem?

I think it was more of the author giving an idea of the cultural significance et al. Oh and for the last one, what its most like, would it be " to read a book and not understand it?"
