Post November SAT II Literature Scores Here!

780, with consistent 800 on CR… well, it was fun :)

Got a 750 on Literature here. :D

I got the same as 91shippy.
Why not 800 why why why? :frowning: I bet I had two mistakes which I wouldn’t even consider mistakes. Sometimes I just don’t agree with your interpretation, test-makers, I don’t.

630 :frowning: I am so depressed

Score Distribution thus far:

780

Ahhh, it was the first time I took it so I’m okay with it I guess.

But if I’m applying to Ivies, should I retake it? I have strong grades, ECs, essay, rec, etc.
Will it be worth it?
I don’t really have time unless I took it in January.
What do you guys think?

Oh, no. I’m on the lowest end :frowning:

@musicmaniac07, I don’t think it’s necessary to take lit again if your score was 700 or above, considering that it’s arguably the hardest subject test.

Updating the list that Owlehn posted (with minor modifications):

780 (x2)
750
730
720
700 (x2)

I’m not sure whether to be satisfied or to re-take ._.

800 :)

honestly I wasn’t expecting this AT ALL…I came out of the test center expecting something around 770. But hey, I’m not complaining ;)

Wow, that’s awesome! @whaleflower^^
Congrats! :)

thank you musicmaniac07 :)

760.

Completely unexpected. I thought I got like 650.

^lucky :frowning: I’m verifying my scores b/c I couldn’t have done that badly

To RainbowSprinkles, I’ve seen your thread about verifying your scores. But just so you know, the ETS RARELY messes up on things like this (especially since these tests are machine scored). I was in your shoes last December – I had just taken the SAT II in French on a whim, thinking that it would be an easy 800 since I’m pretty much fluent in the language. Needless to say, I was shocked when the score came back as a 740, which was actually pretty bad given the test’s large curve (especially compared to other language tests). So I sent off a verification form, and about a month later they reported that my score had not changed. I was really upset, but there was nothing else I could do besides accepting it and then retaking it at a later date.

Fast forward to the October SAT II’s, where I retook French. After I was done, I looked at my answer sheet a little more closely, and thought there was something different between this time and the last time I took it. Then I realized that back in December, I had put E’s instead of D’s on the last test which I got a 740 on! (To provide a bit of context, the French test only has answer choices A through D, unlike other tests like Literature or Math II.) I must have been REALLY tired in December ;)

Bottom line, I found out that it was indeed my mistake, and not the College Board’s, that caused me to score a lot lower than I expected. That being said, your case could certainly be different, but I’m just warning you that most of the time, it is usually the student’s own fault.

Yeah, I know it’s unlikely that they made a mistake, but I’ll never have peace of mind if I don’t verify my scores. I just can’t accept the fact that I did so horribly (640 on Math II, really?) I was at least expecting 700+

@bnr2011

Exactly the same, haha.
